It was Doc McStuffins week at our house! Most of our official school work shown below came from my Doc McStuffins Tot Pack…
Krash jumped in on much of the action, which was fun. He enjoys Doc too {although he might not admit that to you}. Here they were playing memory together {I was assisting too, to keep the fighting under control}.
She loved the few coloring pages I printed for her, and also her magnetic Doc characters.
The worksheets in her notebook were a big hit too. Here she was following the letter D…
She traced her ABCs and was singing her ABCs when I snapped this! I wish it had sound!
She loved the simple tracing pages…
The Doc McStuffins Sensory and Imagination Bin was a BIG hit!
Our schoolroom revolved around the Doc theme for the week so animals were getting medical care non-stop!
The Webkinz box itself was a big hit. She actually spent time like this every single day. Some days she would sit in the box and doctor the animals.
We are taking our All About Reading Pre Level 1 lessons slowly. I am not expecting mastery from Ladybug, just using this program as a way to expose her to the Big Five Skills.
We took the summer off of All About Reading and that turned out to be a good thing.We started back this week, and she breezed through several lessons with me! She was really catching on and loving every moment!
She was VERY into Ziggy, which was nice since in the past he has been hit or miss with her.
Since we didn’t do AAR for many weeks, she was “behind” on many of the letter pages. She chose to color all of them in one sitting, with Ziggy!
She asked to get out our letter construction set, and we built tons of letters together!
Her favorite letter, she always gets all excited when she finds a letter L…
She has a My Little Pony coloring book and probably colored about 10 pages this week!
Building with Stacking Pegs…
I have begun to incorporate some of her iPad learning games into our morning routine. She loves to be with me, so I sit her near me and she “works” while I “work” for about 15 minutes. Here she was playing Teach Me Toddler {one of the best .99 apps we have}
Another awesome .99 app, BINGO Junior…
We were thrilled to grab Bugs and Bubbles when it was on sale for .99 one day last week {normally 2.99}. This is SUCH a neat app, I recommend it, even at full price! Ladybug loves all of the levels, but especially likes the free drawing on the window portion. One night she sat and drew for almost an hour, showing me tons! I snapped screen shots of my favs!
Then she turned the iPad around and shocked me, showing me that she wrote her letters! She writes her name all of the time, but has never written any other letters, so this was a bit of a surprise for me! She asked me for help with the B, but that’s it!

Krash is using the Draw, Write, Now books for his 1st grade and Ladybug is very interested in these books and drawing. She asks me to teach her. We sat down and did the whale one night, she followed what I was doing on the board, but did this on her own. I helped her with the letters W, A, and E at the top {and obviously spelled it for her}.
Ladybug’s week on Instagram {I am using Printsgram to make the layout for the week!}
We are 1plus1plus1 on Instagram, follow us here!
Gymnastics class week 2 was another huge success! She just loves it, and I love watching her enjoy it so much! Taking photos through the glass, with a phone doesn’t produce the best results, but it was the best I could do!
