Tot School ~ Busy week!

It was a great week for tot school at our house! I am so excited about the many things K got to experience this week!

We began our week with Spinmaster Aquadoodle Draw N’ Doodle Mat, which I really thought K would love…Although, he was much more interested in sucking the water out of the pen.So, I got out his Melissa & Doug Pets Sound Puzzle, which he really liked a lot. And, then I caught him reading his current favorite book, Hermie: A Common Caterpillar (A Just Like Jesus Story). It was warm again so we went back outside this week and played with the sidewalk chalk, which he loves…
And, the next day we took out the Do-A-Dot Rainbow Art Set (Set of 6)! I was nervous about this one, but it went really well! K absolutely LOVED it! This is probably one of the best Tot School activities we have done! He was SO into it!He doesn’t really like getting messy but this didn’t seem to phase him, as he counted them!

This week K cooked again, this time helping Kirsten make his very favorite peanut butter balls! He did really well waiting to eat them! Then he finally just dove right in!And the finale of the week was a special art project…painting a birdhouse! I wasn’t so sure he would even be interested, but man he was! He did such a great job and I know it is a treasure I will keep for many years to come!

What are you doing for Tot School lately? Let’s define a “tot” as an 1-3 year old. I would say anything before a formal Pre-K curriculum. You know, the stuff we do with our little ones to provide opportunities to develop their love of learning and maybe teach them a few things. If you have any ideas you’d like to share, link up your exact post to Mr Linky (if you have questions about how to do that, let me know in a comment or email).
