Moments to Remember

Moments to remember

Moments to Remember was developed as a simple way to look back on our week as homeschoolers and find photos that encompass the memories we want to remember.
The week may have been tough, there may have been more bumps than smiles, but in the end these are the moments that keep us going, the ones we need to remember.

It has been a much more enjoyable week around here!  Not perfect, but much better than last week!

PacMan is participating in the Summer Photo Camp for Kids {which is AWESOME, by the way, I highly recommend signing up for the July session, or entering to win on Jolanthe’s blog!}, and the camera has been out more and more!  The kids all love the camera and when Pac decides to be generous and share, they have a blast together!  Here is one of their recent photo sessions together!

This shot cracks me up, the intensity on Pac’s face as he watches his brother use his spin art, and Ladybug’s awesome belly.IMG_7993

We have also spent a lot of time in our pool and outside!IMG_8133

Ladybug continues to collect bug friends, and it continues to be so enjoyable to listen to her “care” for her bug friend.IMG_8033

The boys got out their rollerblades one evening, and although the handholding was staged for a photo, it’s still cute!  They had fun!IMG_8151

Instagram continues to be a fabulous way to capture the smaller moments I want to remember, when the nice camera isn’t close by.  Here’s my collection of the week of the most memorable Instagram moments!

I must be honest, there weren’t many moments I truly wanted to remember this week!  I don’t do well during a transitional time and that’s exactly what we are in.  I am ready for some sort of routine, which for us, will begin in July.  We have a summer reading program at our church and the kids will have a partial summer school schedule.  We have no schedule right now, and even with our summer challenge, it has been a bit difficult for me to maintain sanity!

One day, I do remember them playing play dough peacefully for quite awhile, using our Busy Hands Box supplies.IMG_7951

I recall the boys enjoying a HOT afternoon outside together for a couple of peaceful hours!!!

I hope to be able to focus more on the positive in this upcoming week.  I haven’t been the best at that this past week.

How about you?  Do you struggle with the lack of routine during the summer, or do you love it?

This whole week has been very laid back for us, with no school for anyone and lots of playing! Lots of Stella snuggles, and relaxation…IMG_7576

The real moments to remember began on Thursday evening when we headed out camping as a family!  These are the moments I live for…no schedule, nature, sibling bonding, and so much more.

Fishing is a special part, even when we don’t catch much…

Ladybug helped Daddy fish for about 30 seconds and they caught one!!!IMG_7740

We tried to get her to hold it, she wasn’t having it!

Mostly, I just LOVE that we are all together, just us 5, enjoying moments and making memories.  I adore these people!

It was a week with NO SCHOOL for us!  My Moments to Remember are brought to you courtesy of Instagram Winking smile {1plus1plus1 if you want to follow me}.  This week has been awesome, I have spent TONS of time with my kids, and although we still have issues, I have enjoyed SO many moments with them!

We have spent loads of time outside and this was an awesome sight to see…

Lots of jammies and kitty snuggles…

We got a pool!!!!  This was a BIG day for the kids, they were so excited!

Took Krash over to our community garden and he ate a snap pea and LIKED IT!  Total miracle for this picky eater!

My little bug lover found a gross tiny black bug and held him for over an hour.  She talked to it, “cuddled” it and actually kept it alive.

We took a portrait with the bug, see it on her hand?

Then Krash found a butterfly!Butterfly on His Nose

A small view into a great week, I am so grateful for this time with my kiddos!

Ladybug is having a Mickey Mouse theme week, so all of her toys are down in the schoolroom.  Let’s just say, she isn’t the only one enjoying the toys.  IMG_7203

I also got her the Mickey Mouse App, and the boys spent all morning together with it one day!IMG_7194

I love that homeschooling provides our kids a bit longer to be kids.  Younger siblings help a lot with this too!
