Songs for Saplings ABC Bible Verse Printable Pack

Songs for Saplings Printable Pack

Years ago I created ABC Bible Verse Printables to go along with the wonderful Songs for Saplings ABC CD.  These were featured on Totally Tots, for the “In My Heart” feature.  For years I have been wanting to bundle up the printables and edit a few things and I am finally done!  Ladybug is using these verses this year and LOVES them just as much as Krash did. Homeschool-2160

This CD and the verses are just perfect for young tots.  You can buy the CD here on the Songs for Saplings site, or here on Amazon {both same price, $9}.  You can download the songs here on Songs for Saplings, for only $5!  You can even download the first 3 songs for FREE.  Songs for Saplings is a mission first, and they lowered their prices, here’s why!  I have no affiliation with Songs for Saplings, other than the free CD I received years ago when I reviewed it for them.

There are a few components to the printable pack, here are samples below…

Full Page Printable Display Poster…some of the songs feature just a portion of the verse, which is partly what makes this CD awesome for young tots.  I put the full verse at the bottom of each poster if the song only featured a portion.Songs for Saplings Bible A big

Flashcards {these are what is hooked to our morning board with Velcro}Songs for Saplings A

The printable pack was condensed for easier printing and laminating.  The flashcards are 4 per page like this now…Songs for Saplings Bible cards

Cut and Glue the Verse…again, these were condensed for better printing.  They were also added in for many of the verses.  They are all there now, originally I think I stopped making these somewhere in the middle of the set!Songs for Saplings Bible cut

Coloring…many of these are in a shadow form so the child can “draw” over the image and color it in.  Some kids will love this, others won’t!Songs for Saplings Bible coloring

This Bible Verses A-Z Printable Pack is FREE, I hope you enjoy it!

Raising Rock Stars ~ Psalm 62:1-2

Psalm 62:1-2

Our night was based upon the song, Never Be Shaken {Psalm 62:1-2} from Seeds of Courage.

Truly my soul finds rest in God;
   my salvation comes from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken
.

I was able to capture Krash in motion as he did the movements I made up for the song.  On the left he is making his “fortress” and on the right he was “shaking.”

Of course we used the great  printables Valerie made for Totally Tots to learn this verse and what it means.

Raising Rock Stars ~ Psalm 34:10 “The Good Song”

Psalm 34:10

Our night was based upon the song, The Good Song {Psalm 34:10} from Seeds of Courage.  I didn’t get many pictures, I was busy singing with the kids!

Of course we used the great  printables Valerie made for Totally Tots to learn this verse and what it means. We also got out some toy lions to role play with.  When the verse said “weak” we made our lions fall over!IMG_9451 IMG_9453It is a simple verse, which my boys already have memorized.  We talked about what the verse actually meant…which is the part I love.

We continue to read the Bible daily to the kids each morning and are currently reading Daniel ~ we look forward to an evening talking and learning all about Daniel next Sunday!

Raising Rock Stars ~ Psalm 40:1-2 “Out of the Mud”

Proverbs 40:1-2

Our night was based upon the song, Out of the Mud {Psalm 40:1-2} from Seeds of Courage

Of course we used the great  printables Valerie made for Totally Tots to learn this verse and what it means. I can’t say enough how much these printables are helping bring memorization and MEANING to these verses!

First we all sat together and listened to the song, as Daddy pointed to the images and words on the main verse sheet.IMG_4934

This week I had a random idea to help bring a bit more fun into our night.  The verse lent itself to a bit of fun by having the words “slimy pit” in it!  I got a big empty box {which we had sitting over in the new schoolroom} and brought it into the living room and told the boys to get in.  I taught them the meaning of the verse while they sat in the “slimy pit”  We discussed how sin is the slimy pit we are stuck in and that God is there when we cry out.  He gave us Jesus as our ROCK and gives us a firm place to stand!  Then we listened to the song again and Daddy and I acted it out with the boys.

Here’s how we did it…

I waited patiently for the LORD; He turned to me {Daddy and I turned towards the boys and put our hands on our ears} and heard my cry {boys fake cried}.

He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire;IMG_4942

He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.IMG_4956

Then we danced, giggled and did it all over, and over again.  I LOVE the smiles on the boys’ faces in this photo.  They truly had so much fun!!!IMG_4949

After the fun, we used the small verse cards to review the verse and the meaning.  The boys put the cards in order and we were done!IMG_4960

I love this new simple routine, less planning on my part and still quality family time soaking in God’s Word!  We will still be doing our Bible story nights too, mostly when we come upon them as we read the Bible daily to the kids each morning.

~We had Kirsten there who took the pictures for me!!!  Ladybug was beat and already in bed by the time we did this!  She would have had fun though!

Raising Rock Stars ~ Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask, Seek, Knock”

Matthew 7:7-8

We began by listening to the song, Ask, Seek, Knock from Seeds of Courage.

We used the awesome printables Valerie made for Totally Tots to learn this verse and what it means. Valerie is now making smaller versions, and several other printables to go with each verse. She also went back and added these to the first 2 verses! Be sure to check out all of them to gather all of the wonderful printables for each verse!

As we listened I held up the smaller card for the portion that was playing. After listening, we went through and discussed each card. Then I mixed them up and had Krash count as Pax found the correct card and they placed them in order.

We then listened to the song again and the boys pointed to the correct card as the song played.IMG_4688

I also printed one of the coloring sheets for Krash and the cursive copywork sheet for Pac Man. They will be completing these this week.

It was a short but very nice evening. Sometimes the simple nights are the best ;-).
