Teaching kids about animals is something I truly enjoy. I personally LOVE animals and was a bit of an animal obsessed teenager many years ago. I had a personal fascination with chimpanzees and dreamed of studying them in the wild. Teaching my own children about animals is fun and natural, as it is for many of you. Many of our interest based unit studies are about animals!
I am excited to share new animal preservation lesson plans, printables and teaching resources, available for free at We Are Teachers.
Keep Wild Animals Wild is available at three levels of instruction, I am most excited to share the resources available to children ages 5 to 7 {grades K-2}. Through lesson plans, a student magazine, and an awesome video students are introduced to the concepts of what makes an animal wild and how people can observe and appreciate wildlife responsibly.
The image below is the K-2 Student Magazine, which you can download for free here {just look for this image and click!}.

I hope to dig deeper into these resources soon, especially with Ladybug, my animal lover. I wanted to share with you now, so you can pin or save this resource to use when you are ready to dig deeper into this topic!
There are many more animal resources for students K-8 which you can access here!
