Prayer Geography

I posted this on my personal blog too, so if you are a reader over there, please ignore it here!!! I just wanted to be sure Paxc-Man could hear form everyone as I know there were many prayers coming from my homeschooling blog friends!

One of the coolest things about this (undesired) journey through our Daddy having cancer, is Pac-Man being able to learn about the body of Christ joining together. One particular day last week in the midst of the unknown, he asked me about the people praying for his Daddy and our family. He was very interested to know where they were all from and if we knew all of them. What a powerful thing it was for me to tell them that we had NEVER even met many of them and he certainly hadn’t met most of them. Then to be able to tell him that our prayer warriors were located all over the country and even a few in other countries–how powerful that was for his little mind to take in.

He asked me if we could know all of the states and countries our prayers were coming from. I told him, thanks to the blog, YES we could! So, I ask you-prayer warriors, will you please tell my son where you are from so we can create a prayer map together. He will learn about geography from this but most importantly about how powerful it is to live and love within the body of Christ.

If you have prayed for our Daddy, please comment below like this *Carisa-Pennsylvania* (or you can leave your name out and just put your state (or country)). We are going to color in a map and also make a graph of where everyone was from.

Thanks for doing this for Pac-Man, and most importantly thanks for being a part of this group–praying for our man.

Tot School ~ (still) in NC

~Krash is currently 31 months old~

Tot School has consisted mostly of things like this for Krash…

Playing outside…Doing fun things like visiting Santa…And seeing great friends (and LOVING their cool toys)…K’s learning opportunities have stemmed naturally like this, when he brought me a pretzel and said “look Mommy it’s an f!” We have our bag of travel toys, and this Sticker Book became a fast favorite…funny we never played with it at home much! This is about the extent of our 5 minutes of actual Tot School time :). But that’s OK, we’re having fun–and anxiously awaiting our return to Daddy sometime this week.

Our most exciting *tot* moments have revolved around the potty and underwear! Krash decided a few days ago he was ready and has been peeing in the potty ever since. We always knew he would be one of this kids–just deciding one day he was ready and taking it from there!

Family Update

My husband is in surgery today, to remove possibly cancerous lymph nodes in his abdomen. It is a very intense surgery, he has been in since about 10:30am and is still in (it’s 2:30 now). I am not writing much about his journey on this blog anymore, so if you are keeping him in prayer and would like updates, just email me and I will send you the link to our personal blog. Many of you have already done this, and I thank you. Don’t feel like you have to know me well, just having a desire to pray for his journey is more than enough!

Tot School ~ in NC

Not much Tot school action for Krash this week, but tons of family action as we have been down in NC since Wednesday. He and Pac-Man will remain down here for about 2 more weeks, while Daddy has his surgery and recovers. Daddy has asked me to remain with the boys this week to provide them with more stability, and I have honored his request although it was VERY hard to watch him drive away this morning.
I plan to teach the boys as normal down here and try to provide them with as much of normal life as possible. I plan to return to Philly this weekend sometime.
