I’m Back!!!!

I wanted to wait a day to write this so I could be a bit more sure, but I do believe I can officially say I am on the mend!!!! We did an entire Tot School morning yesterday AND today and Pac-Man and I even began a new lapbook yesterday as a way to get back to the fun part of school. For so long he’s just been completing the basics, I figured it was time to do some child-led learning for his sake. He was THRILLED!!! His choice…

Earthworms!!!

Lovely. I was excited to see him excited about learning again, I think he really needed a lapbook! I said to him, “wow, you are behaving beautifully with your work today…” he said, “that’s because we’re doing a lapbook, I love doing lapbooks!” :)

We got this great pre-made (free) lapbook from Homeschool Share, and began with a few of the mini books yesterday. We also began the writing portion, with him dictating a worm story to me and me typing it in on our Starwrite program for him to trace over to work on his cursive.I can’t say enough great things about the Startwrite program, it is wonderful and I find myself using it almost every day for him now.

It feels good to be back, although I am really lacking on the energy, I don’t really feel sick much during the day (it kicks in still in the evening though), so I can be with my boys. Thanks again to all of you for prayers and kind emails and comments, sorry I am so behind with replying to most of them :(. I am trying to get caught up!

Tot School

For those of you keeping up with baby #3, I am now 11 1/2 weeks along and am recovering, slowly. I have still spent most of my week in bed, with family here to help (PRAISE GOD). I am having a few good hours per day and still spend many laying in bed feeling horrible. I am very hopeful that as I cross the 12 week mark this week things will continue to look up. I plan to try to get back to a somewhat normal routine on Monday, for the mornings at least.

My little guy had a great week and although there aren’t many photos to show, he had a blast. My husband’s wonderful parents, (Nana and Pop Pop) were here for 4 days and were of course-amazing.

One of the fun things they did was take the boys to Ride the Ducks-a land/water tour of Philadelphia. Here’s Krash with his duck whistle-they said he loved it!!!

Krash spent some time impressing them with his Tot School skills-they always love to see how much he has learned since they saw him last. We did lots of things together, but just have one picture of K and Pop working with ABC’s on his new Travel ‘N Doodle Mat. This thing is great, we love it! Krash enjoyed some fall playground time too…I am so blessed to have a wonderful family who take such great care of my boys when I can’t!

Tot School

Our week began great last Monday and around 11 am I went downhill. I have been in bed (or at the toilet) pretty much since then. Krash and I had a fun Tot School morning together last Monday though…

I finally put new batteries back into our Little People A to Z Learning Zoo Playset and he was amazed that it made noise! He’s always played with it without batteries and loved it. It says the letter names and animals names and sounds, it’s great! He asked me to read this great book with him, I love snatching up bargain books at Marshalls, TJMaxx and stores like that!
Finally we got out Automoblox, I broke them all apart and he built this entire car on his own with no help. Then he played for a LONG time with it, putting the wheels in and out of the back compartment. I love these cars!!!
My wonderful Dad “Baba” is here this week (he got here on Monday right after I got sick again). He is AMAZING and has been Super Baba all week as my husband has had an insane work schedule. My Dad does it all, meals, YMCA gym class, dirty diapers, bedtimes, playtime… everything. I don’t know how we would have survived this week without him. He’s still here and we are so thankful! I happened to meander downstairs for a drink one day and found them playing and working on colors with our peg board. Thankfully my camera was sitting right there!

Tot School

Thankfully I have more than just a few photos to show for this week! I have definitely not fully recovered from my prego sickness, but I am happy to report that I am have a few *good* hours per day (at least for the past 2-3 days now). I still haven’t left the house yet, but that’s OK!

My great hubby took the boys to Linvilla Orchards where they got to see farm animals, pick apples, choose our pumpkins, and play on their awesome playground. I was sad to miss it but I am so thankful that he took them!On Saturday morning I actually led an entire Tot School hour! I was EXHAUSTED and down for the day afterwards but I had so much fun!!!!

First I made the boys simple Fall pictures on the computer, with the goal being to glue these little fall confetti things we had on the letters. K wasn’t interested at first but then got into it…He really likes the glue stick so we kept going with it, getting out some pom poms for him to glue on paper…a big ol mess but he had a great time! The I got out our Discovery Toys Progressive Puzzles for the 1st time and K did great! These puzzles are great, starting with 4 pieces and going up to 9. He did all of the 4 pieces, although I started them out with 2 pieces in so he only had to put 2 in, and he did it!!!!Then we went on to crazy floor play with our Hopscotch Mat (Foam), having a blast counting and being nuts… P even built K a little fort!
It was a fun morning together!
