I am trying to stay positive, and am doing well (in my head), but I am so tired of this and ready to get back to MOM. I miss homeschooling tremendously. Anyway, enough whining, here’s the sum of my tot’s documented Tot School experience for the week…

K got to help plant fall grass seed and flowers and he LOVED it!!! I could hear the fun from my bedroom window and I drug myself out of bed for just a few minutes to snap a few photos. I am so glad I did!

This post almost didn’t exist, as I have been in the WORST of my sickness almost all week. I actually missed many of these moments K experienced this week. God thankfully granted me some peace from the sickness on Sunday finally and I was able to enjoy much of the day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot.

I made it around Magic Kingdom last Monday in a wheelchair, pretty miserable the entire time. I have spent most of the rest of this week in bed. My boys have enjoyed a week filled with much Sea World and Aquatica (Sea World’s new waterpark) time. I am thankful to have great parents and an amazing husband who have functioned without me all week.

Here’s a peek at a few of K’s moments from this week…. We waited in line forever in the heat for Pooh, all at K’s request and he LOVED Pooh!!!!The Einsteins were a different story! we waited, again at his request, and then when we finally got to them….He really enjoyed the many fountains at the various pools and even at Disney.Touching Sting Rays was a big hit for all of us…There’s a great gameroom in the house we’re staying in and K learned to play pool apparently (this is a moment I missed )K LOVED rides, especially in the kids area at Sea World, I didn’t get to see any of this And, 3D glasses were a BIG HIT with him. He was all smiles every time we went into a 3D show!!!! I want to thank so many of you for your KIND comments and emails, I have read them all, although probably won’t be personally replying anytime soon. Your words of support mean so much to me even though I have never met you in person. It’s amazing to have *bloggy friends* out there, thank you!

Tot School began wonderfully, BEFORE I began feeling sick. We got one whole activity in… Thankfully it was a fun one. We got out the big ABC floor puzzle and K quickly turned it into a driving mat for his cars (he manages to involve cars in everything). We drove the cars around singing the alphabet.

Then we began using the bulldozer to dump letters into his box, using the small letter puzzle, that was definitely his favorite thing!My hero…my husband. My boys did more than watch tv this week because he played with them, took them bike riding twice, and was an all around amazing dad and husband…K did a lot of this…Thankfully it’s a show like Word World, which at least teaches something!And P filled in for me and I just happened to have the camera laying by my bed…

I got out the lacing beads for K early in the week. He won’t lace for long but at least he will attempt it now! This day we mostly talked about the colors and shapes on the beads! It was a VERY musical week around our house, and I think it will be from now on. I used to teach a toddler music class and I am finding that K is really enjoying the songs and activities I do with him that I remember from that! We have several musical instruments, all kept in a big box, both boys love them.
He enjoyed our wooden spelling boards, I really like these since they are exposing the lower case letters. He knows most of his upper case but not many lowercase, so I really like getting these out.
Trainswere a big hit this week also. K is finally learning the fact that they won’t hook on both ends, it frustrated him at first but then he discovered turning them around to make them hook. He also practiced being gentle with the big track brother made for them, doing much better than normal!

I would have never imagined this toy would be a Tot School tool, but it has been this week. He has played with it TONS and we’ve used his many Cars-cars to talk about all sorts of skills (color, size, positional words, etc.)
This was his way of telling me he wanted to go outside…
He loves trucks, particularly bulldozers, right now. He was very into reading this book…
We got P’s old trike out for K and he has really enjoyed it all week. Here he is using it to give the tambourine a ride…Part of our little music class is a song that uses little finger puppets, I believe this might be his favorite part…Automoblox were a big hit this week. They haven’t been lately so I was really excited when I set them out and K got right to building… We got several made together and he played for a long time with them, these cars are great for so many reasons!
On Friday’s we have *junk cereal day* (thanks Dad) and K turned it into Tot School on his own, saying “I count them Mommy” . He also showed me colors, and even held up 2 blue ones and said “2 blue Mommy!”
He had a good time with this sounds puzzle…

Animalz came out this week too, I loved how he made the gorilla beat it’s chest and “oooh, oooh…”
I got this game, Pegs in the Park at the Homeschool Conference awhile back, to hang onto for K until he was ready. We tried it out a bit, he’s not ready to actually play but had fun playing on his own!!! One last music day…told ya we did it a lot! Here he’s *singing* into our dollar store microphone to the Laurie Berkner DVD.Bells on the ankles while marching– also a big hit!
